If you missed Jeff Gordon talking about the NM Rufous-necked Wood Rail on CBS This Morning this..er.. morning, that interview has now made it online.
Well done Jeff! What an exciting and professional piece. Score one for birders everywhere!

Hannah Floyd and David La Puma and I just watched it, and we think Jeff Gordon did a fantastic job.
[But I can't resist asking: Did anybody else catch the copyediting infelicity?]
Seriously, Jeff is wonderful. Please show this clip around, and help spread the gospel of birding.

Great stuff. So nice to see a news story about birding where the anchorpersons don't trot out all the played cliche´s. The CBS folks seemed to grasp the impact that this sort of discovery has within the birding community.

Awesome job, Jeff! Wow... I must have been snoozing when I visited Bosque because I missed those 1000's of species...
